This compared with 30% of people who ditched them when the area was clean.
LESSON: If you are a trolley boy stay on top of things and people will do half the work themselves.
However, almost my favourite bit of this part of the study is how they ensured that the ‘placed’ trolleys were not taken by entering participants: they smeared the handles with petroleum jelly.
